Just Wingin' it: Batch 4

These were an imitation of Garlic Parmesan Wings that we had in Sacramento (see post titled Sacramento). Our wings were baked in the oven while rubbed in cayenne powder. After done in the oven they were fry ed in secret hot sauce and topped with minced garlic and Parmesan.

Spicy - 7 (good heat, needed a little water)

Flavor- 6 (good, but was a bit overpowering)

Crunch- 3 (needed more frying time)

Moist- 6 (better than some, but meat was overdone :( )

Size- 8 (Good size perfect for heat)

These were not as good as the ones in Sacramento, but they weren't a bad imitation.

Just Wingin' It: Batch 3

These were a risk and in my opinion, we lost. We took wings and put a rather complicated BBQ rub and then sauced with honey and hot sauce.

Spicy - 7 (hot but not that hot)

Flavor - 5 (lots of it, but not concentrated, way to much going on)

Crunch - 7 (good but kind of flacky)

Moist - 5 (moist at first then they dried)

Size - 4 (they needed to be bigger)

Not the best success.. But you win some you loose some.

Mad Dash: Pizza and Wings

3 levels: Mild, Hot and 100% pain (when they say pain they mean it). With each level comes five or six different flavors. We asked for the hottest ones they had (100% pain, flavor: habenero and honey) they were coated with honey, so you could eat them, and then came the heat un believable heat.

100% Pain: Habenero & Honey:

Spicy: 11 out of 10 (killer)

Flavor: 5 (was killed (See above))

Crunch: 2 (none, but at least it was moist (see below))

Moist: 8

Size: 7 (kind of small)

Hot: Habenero & Honey:

Spicy: 8 (really tolerable good)

Flavor: 7 (good)

Crunch: 2

Moist: 9

Size: 7

Overall they were good, unique... But if your going to try them have a half a gallon of milk on hand... You'll need it.

End Zone

Previously my favorite wings in town... Until Bella's. These wings can stand for themselves especially with the ' Good Luck' hot sauce.

Spicy - 9 (Just about perfect, much hotter than most)

Flavor - 7 (Some of the best in town for a reason)

Crunch - 6 (Not quite as crunchy as we like)

Moist - 9 (Your not going to find any more moist)

Size - 8 (Small, but packed a wallop!)

Pretty much amazing, the heats are one down (so medium = mild, hot = medium, good luck = HOT!).

Sierra Nevada

These were really good, not as good as Bella's, (see previous) but great!

Spicy - 7 (Good heat, not balanced)

Flavor - 8 (Even, balanced etc.)

Crunch - 9 (Great deep fry batter, oh so good, light... perfect)

Moist - 7

Size - 6 (average, nothing special)

Ever in Chico check these out!

Denny's

These were surprisingly good! I was expecting throw in the microwave wings, but they were okay.

Spicy - 5 (Not super hot but ok)

Flavor - 5 (Okay, but a little lacking)

Crunch - 4 (Good, but no breading)

Moist - 3.5 (Dry Meat)

Size - 6 (Good not unusual)

There not bad! Not great either, but I was surprised.

Woodstock's Pizza

These wings are alot like most pizza places hot with little texture.

Spicy - 7 (good, not killer)

Flavor - 5 (little bit)

Crunch - 0 (NO crunch, maybe just a different style or something)

Moist - 7 (really moist, one plus :)

Size - 6.5 (Good size, but not enough flavor to judge)

Here are some steriotypical wings that could use some improvements.
